I have tried everything to target traffic to my blog and website but nothing is working.I am on all the social networking website but none of them are helping me target traffic to my website or blog.What do I do?

This is my first answer on Yahoo Answers…..There are many ways you can get traffic for your blog
- You can use each of your blog post to submit in social sites like digg, stumble, facebook, twitter micro blog and many more….in actual you can get lot of traffic from social media to your blog. Twitter micro blog is best to point your posts from twitter with 140 words mini blog updates.
- You can comment on other similar blog posts from other authors and few blog comments allow your latest blog post to mentioned in those comments
- You can use blog submission services like http://www.blogsubmissionservice.com/, http://www.feedshot.com/ if you will search yahoo for "blog submission services" you can find many sites like that
- You can submit your blog to directories in blog category, they will help you in ranking as well as direct traffic, i will advice you search directories in google and do all submission your self for your blog. but if you are have not much time, you can hire any services like http://www.submitshop.com/services/directory-submission-services.html…i have searched this in google on keyword "Directory Submission Services" and you can see many other sites coming which provide this services.
Main point is that you can get lot of traffic even without buying these paid services……Infact i say that no need to spend money to get traffic…If you need more advice, please let me know and i will be happy to help you

You have to make sure you get alot of incoming links. This will get you traffic and ranking, all in one. Follow the 6 steps from the article below to increase your traffic and links!

What would probably work better is trying to get a higher position in Google for your keyword(s). The free traffic will come your way. It is not easy, and will take time. The first important step is to figure out which keywords get high traffic (google keyword tool) and next for each keyword check for the amount of competition by searching for your keyword in Yahoo. Put all these numbers in an Excel file. You get a good sense of keywords that will get you traffic but with lower competition. Use these (a few) to get back links, write articles on your site or blog, use these in your signature in forums etc.

All the posters have good information. Make sure you have your target audience in mind when you are writing your Blog titles. Also depending on where you have your blog, you can do some key word optimizing to help the search engines find and index your blog entries.

2.ping your blog with feedping.com
if this is sound a bit techno for you then i recommend you to get a wordpress direct blog. it rank high faster and they also have free video tutorials that will help you how to get traffic
